Cautionary Statements

N/A Blade sharpening should only be performed by the blade manufacturer. (Contact Kuriyama Customer Service for sharpening service details.)

Ensure direction of blade rotation is correct as indicated by the arrow printed on the blade.

When using a new blade or newly sharpened blade, make initial hose cuts at a low speed. A newly sharpened blade will cut very quickly, which at a high speed could lead to overheating, potentially damaging the blade.
  • Do not operate at excessive speeds that could potentially overwork the motor.
  • Do not move or rotate the hose during cutting.
  • Do not apply any solvents or lubricants to the blade.
When replacing the blade inspect for signs of wear, that the shaft rotates without vibrations and that the blade is perfectly perpendicular to the cutting surface. Before starting, actuate the hose pressing lever to ensure no interferences.
